With over four decades devoted to practicing Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Law, Attorney James Herb, affectionately known as Jim, has amassed a wealth of experience. Throughout his career, Jim has been an avid contributor to legal education, having presented at and chaired more than 50 seminars tailored to fellow attorneys and paralegals.

Jim’s educational background includes a master’s degree in political science and a Juris Doctor Degree, which equip him with a diverse range of knowledge and skills. For a notable seven-year period, he served as the chair for the annual Florida Bar’s Wills, Trusts, and Estates Certification Review Course, demonstrating his commitment to professional development within his field.

Jim’s contributions extend beyond seminars and courses; he has authored or co-authored chapters in four Florida Bar practice books. These chapters cover various critical topics such as Practice Under Florida Probate Code, Litigation Under the Florida Probate Code, and Florida Guardianship Practice, showcasing his expertise in multiple facets of law.

Outside of his legal endeavors, Jim finds fulfillment in his personal life. He has been happily married for 42 years and cherishes the companionship of his beloved dog, Fluffy, who joins him and his wife on many of their adventures. Known for his sense of humor and genuine affection for people, Jim brings joy to both his clients and colleagues alike.
